JOIN US FOR A VIRTUAL SCREENING OF WHITE RIOT
In collaboration with Little White Lies and NME, and on what would have been our third year in Victoria Park, we are proud to present an exclusive virtual screening of the incredible film, White Riot. The winner of Best Documentary at the BFI London Film Festival, White Riot follows the Rock Against Racism movement of the 1970s, revealing both the nastiness of the rising National Front at the time and the amazing power of music, activism and real desire for social change at a grassroots level.
Visit the website to learn about the film and purchase a virtual screening room ticket which allows you watch this incredible film and directly support your local independent cinema.
At 8pm, Friday 29 May, please join us for:
Live Q&A and DJ set from Celeste Ball.
Rubika Shah (Director of White Riot)
Celeste Bell (Daughter of punk icon and X-Ray Spex frontwoman, Poly Styrene.)
Roger Huddle (Rock Against Racism co-founder)
and Jenny Hamada (All Points East)
The Live Q&A on Friday 29 May will be free.
ABOUT DOC AND ROLL
Doc n Roll make fantastic music documentaries and we've been so excited to partner with them for the exclusive screening of White Riot. They run a 14-city film festival which unfortunately had to cancel due to COVID-19, so they have created Doc'n Roll TV so people can still watch music documentaries during the lockdown.
