LOCAL HEROES IN TOWER HAMLETS & EAST LONDON

Over the past few months we have seen many businesses in Tower Hamlets and East London are doing incredible things for their community. Many of these businesses have been impacted by lockdown but they are still doing great things for the local area and keep spirits high. We wanted to highlight some of these businesses and share their stories.

YARD SALE PIZZA ❯ WATCH HERE

Yard Sale Pizza was born in a back garden and has now grown into a firm East London favourite with their pizza now the stuff of legend. During the lockdown, Yard Sale are all about sharing the love and appreciating those who have gone above and beyond to help others in these difficult times.

We spoke to Yard Sale Pizza about the amazing initiatives they have introduced for key workers including their and how they've managed during the lockdown.

BIFF's JACK SHACK ❯ WATCH HERE

Continuing our celebration of the fantastic local businesses in East London, we spoke to Biff's Jack Shack - one of our brilliant traders at All Points East. Biff's are renowned for their plant-based comfort food made out of the world's strangest fruit - the jackfruit. Biff's have truly mastered this vegan superstar and their line of junk food is an incredibly tasty addition to our culinary roster. Luckily for the herbivores of East London, Biff's have continued collections and deliveries over the lockdown so you can feast at home.

SSAW COLLECTIVE

SSAW are a new community of growers and makers, who sell fresh flowers from their fields grown just outside of London. Their work is led by nature and their approach is to move towards slower, more considered practices that both conserve and celebrate people and the planet.

As a multidisciplinary platform championing an ethical way of thinking about working and designing with seasonal produce, SSAW have exciting collaborations with other conscious creatives in development as soon as it becomes safe and sensible to do so.
