The Mole and Gecko Show (Mon 27th May)

For children and adults of all ages.

Meet a rapper and a singer, with his trusty guitar, as they leave their riverside home for an exciting adventure on their boat with no name. With the help of a duck and a crab, our heroes find out that what they thought they were searching for might be less important than what they find along the way.

The Mole and Gecko Show is an interactive rap musical that the audience helps create, featuring live songs, stories, and instant poems by Simon Mole and Gecko.

Young Herbert’s Horrors (Tues 28th May)

For children and adults of all ages

Living on a boat should be the ideal life for a wannabe pirate, but a storm brews up when Herbert is sent home from school and Mum calls on Uncle Albatross – scourge of all pirates – to warn him of the dangers of rebellion. But who is Great Uncle Albatross and do his cautionary tales really have the power to make Young Herbert behave? Or will they just give Young Herbert the horrors?

Young Herbert’s Horrors is a pirate adventure with a twist, told by poet Justin Coe, featuring swashbuckling verse, jaunty music, gallows humour and the obligatory parrot.

Cinderella Ashputtel (Wed 29th May)

For children and adults of all ages

Enter a magical, transformative world where a shoe becomes a woman, a hat stand a tree, and a stool and broom combine to create a horse in front of very your eyes. Set to a swinging musical soundtrack this vibrant, charming show fuses traditionally crafted puppets with the transformation of ordinary objects through inventive design and animation.

Cinderella Ashputtel is a playful and imaginative reworking of the classic Cinderella story by Banyan Theatre.

Climb That Tree (Thurs 30th May)

For children and adults of all ages

Join our harmonious hero for a theatrical jamboree of songs, laughter and lots of joining in as he takes us on an adventure in the forest. We meet bears, wolves and go on a trip to the moon, as each flower on a magical musical tree bursts open to reveal a new story and a song.

Beautifully blending folk, jazz, reggae and rock and roll, Climb That Tree is guaranteed to have everyone singing along with award-winning musical maestro, David Gibb.
