BANK HOLIDAY MON 27 – THU 30 MAY
Opening Hours: 10am – 9.30pm daily
In The Neighbourhood is our weekday programme of free activities, taking place between the two weekends of All Points East.
In collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council, the local community, businesses, organisations and suppliers, In the Neighbourhood will host a vibrant 4-day programme of free activities and entertainment across the Bank Holiday Monday and half term week.
From FREE Outdoor Cinema, Live Music & Entertainment and Street Food to Pop Up Bars, Theatre, Arts, Sports & Wellbeing, Children’s Activities and loads more.
Kicking off on the second May Bank Holiday, and taking place across the May half term, In the Neighbourhood is the ideal destination for families and fun-loving Londoners.
We will be revealing the full programme, our amazing street food traders and more very soon.
Mayor of Tower Hamlets, John Biggs, said:
“I am pleased that following the success of All Points East this summer - with considerably improved management from the previous contract - it will be returning in 2019 to the award winning Victoria Park in Tower Hamlets. Using our park for events enjoyed by thousands of people through well-managed events while respecting our responsibilities to best manage disruption to local residents is the secret to continuing success.
We worked closely with AEG to ensure local residents needs were considered at this year’s event and I am grateful for the attention they gave to this. We can of course always aim to learn and improve further.
Also returning in 2019 will be the ‘In the Neighbourhood‘ midweek programme, a free event which attracted over 20,000 people daily, brought people in our communities together in celebration, showcased some of the rich artistic talent and offered business opportunities to local entrepreneurs.”
