Brooklyn dance-rock heroes LCD Soundsystem headline the Friday night and Icelandic superstar Björk has been announced to top the bill on the Sunday, joining Saturday headliners The xx for All Points East Festival - the first weekend of the brand new ten day event in Tower Hamlets’ beautiful Victoria Park, East London, presented by renowned promoter Goldenvoice.
Since bursting onto the scene with their critically acclaimed, Mercury Prize winning debut album, The xx have honed their trademark minimalist electronic indie to become one of the biggest bands the UK has produced in years. Third record ‘I See You’ saw them step up to truly conquer the world stage with a slew of festival headline shows across the globe as well as a record breaking, sold-out, seven night run at London’s prestigious Brixton Academy.
They are joined by the defining pop sensation that is Lorde, sure to bring an unmissable show that confirms her place as one of the most exciting artists of the modern era. Mercury Prize winner Sampha will be serving up raw cuts and shimmering electronic delights from debut album ‘Process’, plus performances from Jamaican superstar and Jamie xx collaborator Popcaan, the dreamy electronic pop of Lykke Li & Skepta and Frank Ocean collaborator Rex Orange County!
Plus more acts just announced - Joining the festival lineup are jazz revivalists BADBADNOTGOOD alongside Kojey Radical, Sevdaliza, and superstar in the making Stefflon Don.
Promising an incredible lineup across multiple genres, All Points East will also be bringing some of the finest electronic and dance acts to London in May. Kings of french electro Justice will be bringing their huge live show to the festival alongside a carefully selected lineup of some of the best DJs in the world.
All Points East will host London summer festival exclusive sets from Detroit producer Omar-S and Bristol tech house superstar Shanti Celeste as well as huge sets from Call Super, Hunee , DJ Richard, DJ Python (Live), and Beatrice Dillon.
Plus just announced - Despacio - A collaboration between James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem, DFA Records) and David and Stephen Dewaele (Soulwax, 2manydjs), Despacio’s bespoke soundsystem envelopes the crowd in amazing sound for a vinyl only experience like no other. The trio will be behind the decks for all three days of the festival for a UK festival exclusive.
